Abstract

3,4,5-Trihydroxybenzaldehyde and 3,4-dihydroxycinnamic acid have been identified as the major phenolic constituents of Boletus scaber(Leccinum scaber(Bull ex Fr.) Gray. This is first report of the natural occurrence of 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzaldehyde.
