Thermochemistry of transition-metal complexes. Part I. CoLnX2 complexes; n= 4 or 2; L = pyridine, α-, β-, γ-picoline, quinoline, and aniline; X = Cl, Br, I

Abstract

Quantitative differential thermal analysis has been used to determine the heats, at temperatures up to 350°, of the thermal decompositions CoLnX2(cryst.) CoX2(cryst.)+nL(g), where n= 4 or 2, and L and X are the atoms and molecules indicated in the title. Comment is made on the variation of the heats of reaction.
