The reactions of lead tetra-acetate with substituted hydrazones

Abstract

Reaction of lead tetra-acetate with some arylidene-p-nitrophenylhydrazines, and some arylidene-1-methyl-1H-tetrazol-5-ylhydrazines yields crystalline N-acetyl derivatves. The u.v., i.r., and n.m.r. spectra of these and related compounds are descrbed and discussed. These data are consistent with the structures proposed.
