Discovery of new triterpene glycosides from Dendrobium officinale with their α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibitory activity

Seven new oleanane saponins were discovered from Dendrobium officinale. These saponins containing 29-noroleana-12,20(30)-dien-28-oic acid framework, caffeoyl, and coumaroyl moieties potentially inhibited α-glucosidase and α-amylase activities.

Carpesabrolide A, a novel meroterpenoid with anti-inflammatory activity from Carpesium abrotanoides

Carpesabrolide A is a fumaric acid–guaiane sesquiterpenoid hybrid isolated from the medicinal plant Carpesium abrotanoides. It significantly inhibited NO production with an IC50 value of 2.7 μM.

Stixis scandens leaf extract-loading ZnO nanoparticles for porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) treatment

Various nanoformulations of ZnO and Stixis scandens leaf extract were successfully synthesized. The A1T nanoformulation, containing only 7.6% extract, showed an equivalent anti-PEDV activity with the extract.
