Assessment of quality of flow injection methods used in food analysis. A review
Abstract
An overview of the quality of flow injection (FI) methods used for automating food analyses is presented. Methods are assessed for quality on a scale that ranks analytical parameters determining the quality of results. Over 200 reported FI methods for food analysis are evaluated in terms of accuracy, applicability, precision, selectivity, sensitivity, determination range and sample throughput. The proposed quality scale is a useful, user-friendly means for choosing the most appropriate method for a given type of food analysis and can be applied to a variety of analytical techniques.
