A straightforward, highly efficient, and mild approach for synthesizing bis(indolyl)methanes (26 examples) is reported. The condensation between various aldehydes and indole is facilitated by ZrO2 nanoparticles (ZO-nps) as a catalyst in acetonitrile.
Diversity-oriented synthesis of indole-1,2-fused 1,4-benzodiazepines, tetrahydro-β-carbolines, and 2,2′-bis(indolyl)methanes is presented by control of reaction sites.
This study presents the sustainable synthesis of bis(indolyl)methanes catalysed by Zn(II) catalysts through ADC of indole and alcohol. A wide substrate scope, including bioactive molecules, are explored with a mechanistic understanding.
New orthometallated Pd(II) C^N^S pincer catalyst-mediated sustainable and cost-effective synthesis of pharmacologically important bis(indolyl)methanes (23 examples up to 95% yield) via ADC is reported.
A novel heterogeneous catalyst comprising CuO nanoparticles immobilized with the ionic liquid triethylammonium bistriflimide (CuO[HN(C2H5)3][NTf2]) for the synthesis of bis(indolyl)methane derivatives under mild conditions.
