This review summarises methods to synthesise and apply fluorine- and polyfluoroalkyl/aryl-substituted 1,2,3-triazoles. Focus is devoted to recent examples and those where the properties of both the 1,2,3-triazole and fluorine groups are important.
Enabled by captodatively stabilized carbon radical-mediated carbon–carbon bond formation, a three-component polyfluoroalkylation of amino acid derivatives with styrenes and readily available polyfluoroalkyl sources is reported.
Transition-metal-free radical remote difunctionalization of bicyclo[1.1.1]butane skeletons in both two- and three-component fashions is presented.
In this work, we present a synthetic protocol for the preparation of polysubstituted 3-trifluoromethyl(polyfluoroalkyl)pyrroles.
We incubated a novel fluorosurfactant with wastewater treatment plant sludge and identified smaller PFAS biotransformation products with lower bioaccumulation potential compared to the starting material.
