Hydrolysis of 2-phenylazophenyltellurium trihalides: isolation of an unprecedented homometallic, discrete heptanuclear organotellurium oxidecluster

Abstract

Alkaline hydrolysis of RTeBr3 (R = 2-phenylazophenyl) gave intramolecularly stabilized homometallic, heptanuclear organotellurium oxide cluster R6Te7O11 (4) in good yield.
