One-dimensional magnetic halide double perovskites [N(CH3)4]2MIMoCl6 (MI = Na, Ag) with large A-site cation

Abstract

Halide double perovskite-derived one-dimensional compounds, [N(CH3)4]2MIMoCl6 (MI = Na, Ag), have been reported. [N(CH3)4]2NaMoCl6 shows a paramagnetic to antiferromagnetic transition at a low temperature of 3.1 K. This work expands the range of one-dimensional magnetic halide double perovskites by incorporating bulky tetramethylammonium cation in the A-site.
