Controllable syntheses of two structurally new {AsW9O33}-mediated silver alkynyl clusters

Abstract

In this work, two structurally new silver alkynyl clusters, [(AsW9O33)2@Ag48(NO3)6(tBuC[triple bond, length as m-dash]C)24(DMF)6]·3CH3CN (1) and [(AsW9O33)2@Ag56(NO3)4Cl2(tBuC[triple bond, length as m-dash]C)32]n (2), were successfully synthesized using the trilacunary B-α-[AsW9O33]9− as an anionic template via a facile one-pot solvothermal approach. The molecular structures of clusters 1 and 2 can be controlled using different mixed reaction solvents. Compounds 1 and 2 also demonstrate efficient photothermal conversion properties and notable catalytic activities towards the detoxification of 4-nitrophenol.
