Abstract

Retraction, republication and removal of expression of concern for ‘Synthesis and characterization of a novel copper carboxylate complex and a copper complex-coated polyether sulfone membrane for efficient degradation of methylene blue dye under UV irradiation: the single crystal X-ray structure of the copper carboxylate complex’ by Rupy Dhir et al., Dalton Trans., 2024, 53, 9441–9451, https://doi.org/10.1039/D4DT00871E.

We, the named authors, hereby wholly retract and republishing this Dalton Transactions article, due to the discovery of significant errors in the interpretation of scientific data in the originally published version.

After publication, a significant error was noted in the interpretation of crystallographic data presented in this manuscript. Given the extent of necessary corrections, which would include changes to figures, tables, and text, the editorial team and authors determined that the most appropriate course of action was retraction and republication of the article with revised data.

The Royal Society of Chemistry is happy that republication of the work with the relevant data and conclusions is appropriate, with the article having undergone a full peer review process. The republished article can now be found at https://doi.org/10.1039/D5DT00663E.

The authors and the Royal Society of Chemistry apologise for any confusion caused by these errors.

This Retraction supersedes the information provided in the Expression of Concern related to this article.

Retraction and removal of concern endorsed by Sally Howells-Wyllie.
