Construction of a pyrene-based AIEgen for ratiometric detection of trace water in organic solvents

Abstract

Herein, we report a chemosensor for ratiometric detection of trace water in tetrahydrofuran (THF). The sensor shows a linear response (F490/F653 ratio) to water content (0–1.0%) and achieves an LOD of 0.056% (v/v). Validated through precise water quantification in commercial THF from various brands, this chemosensor holds significant industrial application potential.
