Metallic MoN ultrathin nanosheets boosting high performance photocatalytic H2 production

Abstract

Ultrathin metallic MoN nanosheets were for the first time reported as an earth-abundant and highly active co-catalyst to greatly enhance the photocatalytic H2 production of TiO2. In-depth mechanism study on the improved activity sheds light on the design and fabrication of 0D/2D semiconductor/metal heterojunctions for photo(electro)catalysis applications.
