Improving the catalytic efficiency of carbon-based active sites by trace oxide promoters for highly productive olefin synthesis†
Abstract
We demonstrate that carbon-based catalysts containing trace metal oxides could be remarkably productive in catalytic alkane oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH). The metal oxides served as efficient promoters in further decreasing the catalytic activation energy of propane ODH on the carbon-based active sites.
