Surface recombination velocity of methylammonium lead bromide nanowires in anodic aluminium oxide templates

Abstract

Here we present successful surface passivation of halide perovskite nanowires with anodic aluminum oxide templates. The CH3NH3PbBr3/alumina nanowires have charge carrier lifetimes of more than 20 ns and a remarkably low surface recombination velocity of 37.2 ± 20 cm s−1. The ease of their fabrication and their excellent photophysical properties make them a promising candidate for integration in optoelectronic device structures.
