para-Formamidobenzoic acid was formed via reactive crystallization between para-aminobenzoic acid and degraded 1,4-dioxane. Degraded 1,4-dioxane breaks down and forms formic acid, which reacts with para-aminobenzoic acid leading to the formylation.
This article summarizes insights on a new class of antibiotics defined by albicidins and cystobactamids. It presents their biosynthesis, total synthesis and lead optimization, the mechanisms of action and resistance, and the antibiotic properties.
This review presents a comprehensive overview of recent advances in the discovery methodologies, new structures, bioactivities, and unique biosynthetic logics of myxobacterial natural products reported from January 2017 to November 2023.
Low lying excited states following Auger decay lead to efficient H3O+ production in ortho-aminobenzoic acid dications via complex hydrogen migrations.
An environmentally friendly, metal-free, and efficient C(sp2)–S coupling reaction protocol between aniline and low-cost tetraalkylthiuram disulfides was developed to synthesize aryl dithiocarbamates.
