Decorating nonpolar units in robust MOFs for one-step purification of C2H4 from C2H2/C2H4/C2H6†
Abstract
A post-synthetic modification approach was proposed to introduce nonpolar unit ferrocene into a C2H2-selective MOF to enhance C2H6 selectivity. Benefiting from the nonpolar moieties and suitable pore confinement, the obtained materials exhibited higher selectivity for C2H6 and C2H2 over C2H4, achieving one-step purification of high-purity C2H4 from a ternary C2 mixture.
