Highly sensitive all-polymer photodetectors with ultraviolet-visible to near-infrared photo-detection and their application as an optical switch

Abstract

All-polymer photodetectors with photomultiplication were fabricated with PMBBDT and N2200 as photoactive layers, which exhibit an external quantum efficiency of 20700% under 4 V. The signal-to-noise ratio, linear dynamic range and specific detectivity were simultaneously enhanced by empolying a PEDOT:PSS/P-TPD double hole transport layer. An optical switch system without any current amplifier was realized.
