Synthesis of atropisomeric phosphino-triazoles and their corresponding gold(I) complexes

An extended quinoid molecule based on bis(thiophene-diketopyrrolopyrrole) with balanced ambipolar semiconducting properties and strong near-infrared absorption

4,7-Diarylbenzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazoles as fluorophores and visible light organophotocatalysts
A library of 26 electron donor-acceptor organophotocatalysts based on the benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole (BTZ) group has been developed. These visible light organophotocatalysts were then used in a Minisci-type alkylation of heteroarenes under both batch and continuous flow conditions.

This themed collection, featured in Organic Chemistry Frontiers, is dedicated to the late Professor John S. Fossey, who passed away on Friday, April 15th, 2022.
Professor John S. Fossey had been heavily involved with Organic Chemistry Frontiers since its launch ten years ago. As a member of the Advisory Board, he witnessed the journal's growth and supported its numerous achievements. Professor Fossey's significant contribution to Organic Chemistry Frontiers, a collaboration between the UK and China, marked the culmination of his lifelong commitment to promoting catalysis and sensing research through international collaborations.
