Silver-catalysed C–H bond activation: a recent review

Abstract

Transition metal catalysed C–H activations are efficient, simple, mild, cost-effective and stereoselective, and many of them are environmentally sustainable transformations. These are the dominant reasons that have consistently inspired scientists to investigate this field further. Silver has exhibited unusual advancements in the field of C–H bond activation. This review on silver-catalysed C–H bond activation highlights the recent approaches and greener protocols developed for C–H functionalization that are catalysed by silver, and covers the literature up to 2020.
