Two-dimensional iridium–cobalt oxide for high-efficiency acidic oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalysis
Abstract
The present work reports the synthesis of a two-dimensional iridium–cobalt oxide via the molten-alkali mechanochemical method. In 0.5 M H2SO4, this material shows a low overpotential of 256 mV at 10 mA cm−2 as an oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalyst. During proton exchange membrane water electrolysis, it exhibits exceptional stability, lasting 600 hours at 1.7 V.
