Using long oligofurans as synthetic building blocks has been found to enable the efficient synthesis of conjugated furan-based polymers through direct C–H arylation, which exhibit excellent antimicrobial activity.
Synthesis of heteroatom-doped (N-, O-, S-, N,O-, and N,S-doped) macrocycles and their versatile applications in host–guest chemistry, sensing, catalysis, and optoelectronic devices such as OLEDs, OFETs, and OPVs are discussed.
This review examines the potential of biomass-derived semiconductor materials in renewable energy technologies, highlighting key synthesis strategies from biomass precursors, as well as their properties and applications.
The color tuning of benzobisoxazole-based OLEDs to achieve white emission with high brightness is reported.
We have synthesized new metal-free dyes (HB-1–8) containing bifuran/biphenyl derivatives for dye-sensitized solar cells. Dye HB-3 exhibited the highest efficiency among the eight investigated dyes, reaching 5.51% with a VOC value higher than N3.
