Ordered mesoporous structure-based nano-confined Bi2S3@OM-CeO2-C hybrid catalyst for enhanced CO2 electroreduction to formic acid
Abstract
This study successfully developed a Bi2S3 nanosheet-loaded ordered mesoporous ceria-carbon material (Bi2S3@OM-CeO2-C), which exhibits a Faradaic efficiency for formic acid (FEHCOOH) exceeding 90% over a rather wide potential range, with stable operation. The confined mesoporous structure and interfacial electron transfer synergistically promote the stable generation of the key intermediate *OCHO, thereby achieving efficient CO2 electroreduction to HCOOH.
