The first unsubstituted metallabenzene complex [Ru25-C5Me5)225-C5H5)(SiMe3)]

Abstract

Treatment of the silyl/methylene complex [Ru25-C5Me5)2(µ-CH2)(SiMe3)Cl] with acetylene gives the first unsubstituted metallabenzene complex [Ru25-C5Me5)2(η25-C5H5)(SiMe3)], which has been characterised by NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography.
