Organic-Inorganic Heterostructure Empowers Infected Wound Healing
Abstract
Pathogenic infections, which accompany the process of biological evolution, represent a primary risk factor threatening human life and health. The fabrication of heterostructure is an efficient strategy against pathogens. The common heterostructure is consisted by inorganic materials. Investigating heterostructures composed of organic components provides strong groundwork for advancing hetero-structural systems. There, Ag 2 S/IEICO-4F heterostructure was proposed and established. It possesses favorable reactive oxide species (ROS) yield under NIR irradiation, including 1 O 2 /•O 2 - and •OH, which is originated from the enhanced electro-hole separation, resulting in 2 the obviously higher ROS yield than Ag 2 S and IEICO-4F groups. In vivo S. aureusinfected skin defect on rat verifies its antibacterial property and the followed wound regeneration capability. This work provides a rational materials design platform based on organic-inorganic heterostructure and its application in photo-induced anti-bacteria.
