Nitridation-Driven Construction of Ru/WNO Catalysts Enables Highly Selective Cellulose to C2 Alcohols Hydrogenolysis
Abstract
Nitrogen-controlled nitridation of WOx yields Ru/WNO catalysts with tunable acidity, vacancy density, and Ru electronic structure. An optimally formed Ru/WNO/W interface enables selective retroaldol scission and hydrogenation, affording 77.4% C2 alcohols selectivity from cellulose, whereas over-nitridation generates inactive Ru-W alloy.
