Improvements in the Evaluation of Electrocatalytic Ammonia Oxidation Reactions

Abstract

For a reliable evaluation of electrocatalytic ammonia oxidation reaction (EAOR), we revised the standard electrode potentials in both aqueous and nonaqueous electrolytes using the solvation energies of ammonia. Moreover, we developed an improved assessment protocol for EAOR systems, particularly for those employing nonaqueous electrolytes and/or new nitrogen sources other than ammonia.
