Journal of Materials Chemistry C is proud to present this themed issue highlighting 2018's rising stars of materials chemistry in the areas of optical, magnetic and electronic devices. Our 2018 Emerging Investigators themed issues gather some of the best research being conducted by scientists in the early stages of their independent career.
