Electrogenerated chemiluminescence of a Ru(bpy)32+/arginine system: a specific and sensitive detection of acetaminophen

We use arginine as an alternative co-reactant for Ru(bpy)32+ by taking advantage of its low cost, non-toxicity, and biocompatibility. It is promising to expand the scope of the Ru(bpy)32+/Arg system and move forward their applications in bioassays.

NS3 helicase inhibitory potential of the marine sponge Spongia irregularis

Our study discusses the anti-HCV activity of Spongia irregularis. The results revealed that the ethyl acetate fraction exhibited the highest anti-HCV activity and Nakijiquinone F is the most likely anti-HCV candidate among the screened compounds.

New insights into the competition between antioxidant activities and pro-oxidant risks of rosmarinic acid

Direct and indirect antioxidant activities of rosmarinic acid (RA) based on HOO˙/CH3OO˙ radical scavenging and Fe(III)/Fe(II) ion chelation were theoretically studied using density functional theory at the M05-2X/6-311++G(2df,2p) level of theory.
