Abstract

Abstract
A bifunctional tertiary amine catalyzed [3 + 2] annulation of nitrovinylindoles with azlactones has been developed, delivering a wide range of pyrrolo[1,2-a]indoles and pyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinoline in excellent results (53–92% yield, 53–96% ee).
