Abstract

Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis of PdCl2(dppfO2) [dppfO2 = 1,1′-bis(oxodiphenylphosphoranyl)ferrocene] shows a rare tetrahedral geometry at a d8 metal centre; physical and spectroscopic characterisations indicate a paramagnetic species.
