Abstract

N-Methyl-1,3,5,2-trioxazinane (or N-methyl-2,4,6-trioxapiperidine), by analogy with s-trioxane, should decompose thermally into MeNO + 2CH2O; this substance does not appear to have been made, but molecular orbital calculations show that it should be almost as stable as s-trioxane.
