An AIE Photosensitizer with Type I/II ROS Generation for Photodynamic Therapy of Toxoplasmosis
Abstract
Toxoplasmosis, a global parasitic disease threatening one-third of humans, lacks effective treatments. We developed a mitochondria-targeting AIE photosensitizer (AIEPS) generating dual Type I/II ROS, enabling light-activated eradication of Toxoplasma gondii and offering a potent photodynamic therapy against toxoplasmosis.
