Nematic liquid crystals induce and amplify the circularly polarized luminescence of chiral TADF emitters

Abstract

This work reports a simple strategy that induces and amplifies the luminescence dissymmetry factor (glum) of chiral thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitters by co-assembly with liquid crystals. Large glum values of +7.26 × 10−2 and −5.45 × 10−2 were obtained for FAC-PDMLM and PXZ-PDMLM, respectively.
