Regioselective electrochemical C–H sulfonylation–bromination between indolizines, sodium sulfinates, and KBr has been established in an undivided cell, in which KBr serves as both the brominating agent and electrolyte.
This review summarizes recent advances in electrochemical and photocatalytic C–H functionalization of indolizines, with an emphasis on the construction of C–C and C–X (X = S, Se, N, Cl, Br, etc.) bonds.
Blue to yellow-emitting 2-oxo-pyrano[2,3-b]indolizines, which are efficiently prepared in two steps from pyridinium salts, have strong emission across the solvent polarity scale.
This review summarizes the recent advances in cyclization reactions involving pyridinium 1,n-zwitterions (n = 4 and 5) and highlights the applications of pyridinium 1,n-zwitterions (n = 4 and 5) in the efficient construction of heterocycles.
A new method for the synthesis of seven-membered heterocycle-fused indolizine scaffolds from 2-(1-alkynyl-cyclopropyl)pyridines and nitrones under the catalysis of PPh3AuNTf2.
