We report the synthesis of a novel twisted π-conjugated macrocycle bridged by C(sp3) atoms by double Friedel–Crafts reaction. This molecule is a rare example of a π-conjugated macrocyclic system with homoconjugation.
Featuring mostly nucleophilic but also electrophilic properties, phosphorus-bridged bicyclic germylenes require steric shielding to be protected from decomposition. The two nucleophilic sites, Ge and P, show competing reactivity.
This review summarizes through-space interactions in optoelectronic materials from mechanisms, properties, and manipulation of clusteroluminescence, thermally activated delayed fluorescence, room-temperature phosphorescence, and charge transport.
A comprehensive study on the electronic spectral, photophysical and acid–base properties of phenyl- and methyl-oxime corrole derivatives. Influence of the solvents (THF, DMSO and ACN) and concentration.
A Ce(IV) double-decker of triptycene-functionalised porphyrins with some intramolecular gearing motions is presented. Single crystal X-ray analysis and VT-NMR measurements provided information on the gearing motions.
