Reply to the ‘Comment on “Foliar application of nanoparticles: mechanisms of absorption, transfer, and multiple impacts”’ by S. Husted, P. Møs, S. Le Tougaard, A. Pinna and F. Minutello, Environ Sci.: Nano, DOI: 10.1039/D1EN00630D

Abstract

Important aspects and misunderstanding on the claims and statements made by Hong et al. (2021) were clarified and corrected, where appropriate. Indeed, the field of phyto-nanotechnology is being rapidly innovated, and understanding the convoluted effects and responses that nanoparticles exhibit in plants becomes challenging.
