The condensation of trans-[PdCl₂{(C₄H₃O)SeMe}₂] with acetone: formation and crystal structure of [Pd₂Cl₂(µ-SeMe)₂{MeSe(C₄H₂O)}₂CMe₂]

Abstract

The condensation of the furan rings in two trans-[PdCl₂{(C₄H₃O)SeMe}₂] complexes with acetone and the chlorine–selenium interactions in the coordination spheres of the two palladium atoms result in the formation of a dinuclear complex [Pd₂Cl₂(µ-SeMe)₂{MeSe(C₄H₂O)}₂- CMe₂].
