Low-temperature CVD synthesis of single-crystalline bismuth sulfide (Bi2S3) microrods for efficient photodetection
Abstract
This work overcomes traditional synthesis limits with a low-temperature chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method for high-quality bismuth sulfide microrods. The structure and composition were confirmed by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy characterizations. The resulting photodetector shows a high responsivity of 5.24 A/W and detectivity of 8.8×10¹¹ Jones at 650 nm, providing a new pathway for fabricating high-performance optoelectronic devices under mild conditions.
