A new automated solar disc for water disinfection by pasteurization

A new automated Solar Water Pasteurization Disc of double reflection of 3.8 and 1.3 m in diameter for the first and second reflectors has been erected and tested for performing microbiological disinfection of water in a simple, efficient, and continuous treatment in Brazil.

Disinfection performance using a UV/persulfate system: effects derived from different aqueous matrices

The disinfectant power of UV combined with a persulfate salt has been assessed. The results obtained suggest this system as an attractive alternative to other photochemical processes currently in use for seawater treatment.

Transparent rutile TiO2 films prepared by thermal oxidation of sputtered Ti on FTO glass

Compact and photoactive transparent rutile TiO2 films were deposited by a two-step process: (i) magnetron sputtering of Ti films on a heated FTO substrate and (ii) subsequent thermal oxidation.

Photocatalytic abatement of emerging pollutants in pure water and wastewater effluent by TiO2 and Ce-ZnO: degradation kinetics and assessment of transformation products

A good removal efficiency was obtained for a mixture of seven emerging contaminants in wastewater effluent using two catalysts, Ce-ZnO and TiO2-SG, as evidenced by the formation of several transient transformation products.
