Making Sense of the Cosmeceuticals Concept

It is well-known that conventional cosmetics should have no physiological effect on the skin and should make no changes. Theoretically they should only moisturise the stratum corneum and in that way make wrinkles and fine lines less apparent. They should have no effects deeper than that level.
