A Little Logic and Computation
A primer is offered concerning Boolean logic-based computation. Truth tables for all single input–single output and double input–single output logic gates are rationally built-up as a series of input-output patterns. The symbolic representation of these gates is also developed, including Boolean algebraic expressions. The use of logic gates in arithmetic processing is outlined at the simplest level. We also go behind the scenes of electronic computing by dissecting two simple logic gates of this type.
