Production of Synthesis Gas

Synthesis gas is a mixture of hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO). An overview is given of the main technology blocks involved in the production, purification and conditioning of synthesis gas. Reforming, gasification, water gas shift conversion and gas purification are discussed in the context of feed preparation for Fischer–Tropsch synthesis.
