There is a commercial demand for a robust, simple and efficient method for accurately determining the activity concentration of ¹²⁹I in various environmental and nuclear decommissioning samples. A need for a method that could analyse for ¹²⁹I by liquid scintillation counting was identified and the development and improvement of a current method for the determination of ¹²⁹I are described
