Risk Factors for Obesity

There are several risk factors for developing obesity. The three most prevalent risk factors are eating high fat foods, drinking excessive amounts of alcohol and inadequate physical activity. High fat foods and alcohol are addictive. Physical activity increases health and helps people heal themselves. Health education and counseling should focus on the dangers of these addictions and the value of physical activity.
