Strong Base-Induced Transition-Metal-Free Single Electron Transfer Reactions Mediated by Amine Species

Abstract

N-centered anion electron-rich salts, as an important class of super electron donors, have been widely applied in challenging aroma-tization coupling reactions in recent years. Under specific conditions, these reagents can effectively replace traditional metal reagents, thereby significantly reducing environmental pollution risks. This article systematically reviews the research progress in single-electron transfer reactions triggered by N-centered anion electron-rich salts since the concept of super electron donors was introduced. The content is organized according to the structural types of amine derivatives, and future research directions in this field are also discussed.
