One-Pot Green Synthesis of 4H-Benzo[d][1,3]oxazin-4-one Derivatives via Visible-Light Catalysis

Abstract

A one-pot green approach for synthesizing 2-aryl-4H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazin-4-ones via photocatalyzed decarboxylative condensation of anthranilic acids and α-keto acids has been developed. It uses a photocatalyst under mild air conditions, avoiding excess oxidants, metal catalysts and high temperature. With wide substrate compatibility, good functional group tolerance and easy operation, this method is effective and practical for benzoxazinone derivatives synthesis, and shows potential for related organic synthesis applications.
