MOFs with Hydrazide and 3-Amino-1,2,4-oxadiazole-Substituted Hydroxytetrazole as Novel Nitrogen-Rich Ligands: A New Type of Energetic Materials for Ammonium Perchlorate Decomposition Catalysis
Abstract
To address the issue of insufficient combustion of ammonium perchlorate (AP), the development of energetic MOFs that facilitate the decomposition of AP has emerged as one of the primary focuses in energetic material research. In this study, two novel nitrogen-rich energetic ligands were utilized to prepare new energetic MOFs (AZTO-Ag, AZTO-Cu-4H2O, AOTO-Ag and AOTO-Cu-4H2O) that facilitate AP decomposition. Thanks to the high stability of the ligand molecules themselves, as well as the tight hydrogen bonding and extensive π-electron interactions in the crystals, these MOFs exhibited good thermal stability (202.7~312.7 ℃ ). In terms of promoting AP decomposition, the MOFs formed from copper showed more satisfactory effects, especially AOTO-Cu-4H2O. The THTD of the mixture formed by mixing AOTO-Cu-4H2O with AP is 102.7 °C lower than that of pure AP, and the activation energy is reduced by 125 kJ/mol. These data indicate that AOTO-Cu-4H2O is a highly promising energetic AP decomposition promoter.
