Enhanced nitrate electroreduction to ammonia on RuRhFeCoNiCu high-entropy oxide nanotubes by constructing oxygen vacancies

Abstract

RuRhFeCoNiCu high-entropy oxide nanotubes (HEO-NTs) with rich oxygen vacancies was designed to enhance the electrocatalytic performance of nitrate reduction to ammonia (NRA). Benefiting from the abundant oxygen vacancies and the synergistic effect between high-entropy constituent elements, the as-synthesized RuRhFeCoNiCu HEO-NTs exhibit remarkable electrocatalytic activity toward the NRA.
