Numerical simulation study on mechanism of plasma E/N controlling methane selective oxidation reaction
Abstract
The maximum methanol selectivity in plasma driven methane oxidation at a specific reduced electric field (E/N) arises from kinetic competition between the CH3O + H + M and CH3OH + O pathways. Tuning E/N to balance these competing rates achieves high selectivity, providing a principle for process design.
